Ways to get help while you work:
- Handy Tool Tips
for each field on every screen. When you hover in a particular field, Geni gives you hints about the information that should appear in the field; in addition, if more than one answer is available, Geni displays all of the possible entries for quick reference and selection.
- Quick-Pick Lists
are generated from integrated data contained in the setup, case management and accounting features of the program to make data selection quicker and learning how to use Geni faster.
- Help Screens
are available by pressing the Help button on the Taskbar at each level of the program or Ctrl+H on pop-up screens so each user can “learn as you go.”
Here is where you will assign the permission level of access to bank, accounting, set up, etc., features on an individual basis as you create each Representative (Employee) profile.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As a matter of firm policy, make sure you have at least one ADMIN (Administrator) who will have MASTER access to all of the features and all bank accounts.
On the main Taskbar, click SETUP > PERMISSIONS SETUP from anywhere in the Geni Law program.
Upon clicking the Permissions Setup tab, the profile screen opens:
The Permission levels are automatically assigned by Geni Law for both operations and bank accounts features based upon the USER GROUP, from a general management point of view. This can be modified to fit the needs of your firm. A quick-list appears for ease of completion. Permissions access levels are Full Access, Read Only, and Not Allowed (None) on each feature of Geni Law.
Each employee will be assigned to one of the four following USER GROUPS:
|ADMIN||ADMINISTRATOR – has access to all features and bank accounts; on the screen it reads “BANK MASTER” for all bank accounts and “MASTER” for all program features|
|Financial||ACCOUNTING / FINANCIAL / MANAGER has access to bank accounts|
|LA||LEGAL ASSISTANTS or other non-attorney staff|
Click on PRINT to print a complete list of Permissions allowed in each USER GROUP.
Press ESC to return to the previous screen.
